After breakfast, a short walk into Crick PO Stores for a few groceries and then we set off. Stopped 5 seconds later on the opposite side of the canal to empty the loo. I keep promising the Captain a training day so that she can share in the delights of the Elsan but she always presents a note from her brother saying that she needs to be excused! Mutter, mutter, mutter.
That's us tied up outside the loo stop. We could have taken on water as well but we'll wait until we get to the marina for that.
Past the entrance to Crick Marina which is now very large indeed.
Just look at all those boats - and that's about 1/6 of their capacity.
We then had a very pleasant sail for about 5 miles until we arrived at Mountain Barn Bridge where we stopped for lunch.
This is one of our favourite moorings on this bit of canal so we decided to go no further but to stay here overnight.
Here's the Mate having his lunch on a very convenient seat right alongside the boat. As you can see, the sky is overcast but it is reasonably warm so we shouldn't be needing the fire until much later on.
Tomorrow only 6 miles to go before we arrive at the new marina. Looking forward to seeing what it's like.
