Sunday 28th April

Heavy rain started about 10 last night and, as far as we know, (because we were asleep) didn't stop until 7:30 this morning. 

However, 10:30 and the cloud base has lifted a bit so we are setting off to Banbury for supplies, services and, hopefully, Sunday lunch. 

Entering Banbury, have just come through the lock and am waiting for the captain to open the lift bridge for me. 

We managed a visit to Morrisons on the way and filled the freezer and the pantry. We also got rid of all our rubbish, took on water, etc. 

Picked up a good mooring in the centre right outside Nandos and Pizza Express. 

Good access from our mooring to the bridge over the canal. On the opposite side of the canal is a Premier Inn. 

Not exactly Sunday lunch but we had an evening meal out at Pizza Calzone, an Italian restaurant we visit every time we're in Banbury. Still as good as ever. 

Fortunately, for our mooring, it's Sunday night and not too many people walking along the canal. Saturday night would be somewhat noisier.
