Popped into Tesco for a last bit of shopping before setting off. 2 pair of shorts for me and some bacon. How could we have forgotten to buy bacon?
Straight ahead is 'The Blade' a building we moored next to when on the K&A.
Now on the Thames about to go under Reading Bridge.
Put the duster up today, first time this holiday.
Entering the first lock of the day. Always worrying going upstream as you've got to get your ropes round the bollards which can be several feet above your head. Luckily the first two locks had lock keepers who were a great help.
What a happy couple. I wonder what they're up to?
Why, riding on a train, of course.
Looking at the meerkats.
The ringtailed lemurs.
The birds.
And the Jubilee Water Gardens.
Where are we? Beale Park and you can Moor anywhere along the edge of the park.
And here we are, tucked away nicely under some willow trees which has kept much of the sun off of the roof. When you're moving along there is usually a breeze coming off the water but if you're still and in direct sunlight then the heat can get to you.
