In the morning we walked 2½ miles into Gargrave. One reason was to top up with milk and bread, another to look at possible moorings in the town. We had a good look round the village, found the Co-op and also found the fish & chip shop, where we popped in for lunch. Got talking with one of the residents who recommended the standard fish & chips with mushy peas and bread and butter.
Brigid wanted something smaller so she had haddock goujons.
Not such a small portion after all.
Luckily a 2½ mile walk back to the boat.
Another afternoon of tennis (on the TV, not me and Brigid!)
The lucky day? Well, we missed the fish & chips in Barnoldswick, so lucky me No.1 and we got back to the boat just before the heavens opened, lucky me No.2. Also, we finished off the turkey pie for supper - lucky me No.3.
