What tunnel?

We haven't actually travelled too far today - locks stop play! But more of that later.

Here is another view from our overnight mooring with Napton-on-the-Hill in the centre. The sky looks almost the same as last night. Mind you, at 5:30 this morning the sun was shining - should have stayed awake instead of sleeping through until 9:15.

Stopped at Fenny Compton to visit the pub in a shop. Or should it be shop in a pub? I think the latter. (But, how about it Bradwell? A pub in a shop?) Anyway, no milk, no recycling, no laundrette. Apart from that not too bad.

Looking back along Fenny Compton Tunnel. It seems someone took the top off some time ago, hence, what tunnel?

The captain taking the helm again although prepared for all weather options.

A hasty photo of newly born cygnets.

Early afternoon approached Claydon top lock. Decided to stop there and go for a walk instead of starting on the locks today.

Set off and the skies opened. Rain, thunder and lightning, you name it, we got it.

Went back to the boat for a cuppa instead!
