Well, that's an original title! But, for us, that's what its been like today. One moment blazing sun - off with the rain gear, the next, short sharp showers.
We picked up a friend who took an interest in our galley window. He lives on the boat ahead of us but thought he might get more sympathy from us. Reminds me a bit of my grandma and grandad's dog Jimmy.
Here is the view of the other side, described on the map as being a natural beauty spot.
Approaching one of the locks with a blue sky moment.
Luckily we had help with this lock since the gate beam was being replaced and there were a couple of bits of angle iron in place of the old beam.
Enlarge this picture and you will see Brigid tugging on a piece of rope to help open the gate.
Come the afternoon and we were able to sit down for a while with the front doors open.
Have decided to stay overnight at Cropredy. Here's a view towards the next lock.
And a view across the cut to the houses opposite.
Managed to get to the village shop before they closed in time to get some milk and a few other supplies.
Tonight we are having roast Cressingham duck legs. Ah, it's a hard life on the ocean waves!
