Well that's out of the question, we haven't got a cock horse! Never mind, we're still going to Banbury Cross.
But first, to the water point.
Hang on, where's the tap? There should be a big red handle!
Oh, now I can see it! It's in there behind the pipe.
Still, it seemed to work OK.
That is until I left it pouring water out of the bottom. I did phone C&RT who advised that they were aware of the problem and that a part was on order. I suggested that someone came along before that in case the canal flooded!
This boat has always amused me. Once again, enlarge the picture and you can see a pipe poking out between the dummies legs. This is the bilge pump. Have never seen it working but it probably looks impressive!
Another amusing sight is this house just as you come into Banbury. Dink & Malc are enthusiastic canal boaters and have their picture on the side of their house. Saw them both in the conservatory and waved frantically as we sailed past.
Moored up in the town centre, which is now a large building site. Just hope they're not working to an incentive bonus and carry on through the night.
They are developing both sides of the canal to regenerate the area. In the distance on the right is Tooley's Boatyard where I should be able to collect the genny part tomorrow.
Decided to get away from all the noise and have lunch in Pizza Calzone. Amazing Italian feeling to this place and really good food.
The chef and waiters were all very friendly and we really felt that we were on holiday in Italy.
Back to the boat and now sitting watching the diggers getting closer and closer to the canal. Whew! 6 o'clock and he was only coming over to park for the night.
Will let you know when they start in the morning. Just hoping its not 6 o'clock!
