Stuck for now

Friday and the return trip on the boat lift. 

Only to be told that a tree had fallen across the canal just where we had hoped to have been going. 

So, for the moment we are moored at Anderton Marina again, probably until Sunday. We know that contractors are working on the tree but that it will take 2 or 3 days to clear. 

It's been interesting to see all the hire boats stacking up, holiday makers being picked up by hire operators and boats being collected by the hire companies to be returned to another of their nearer bases. 

Today, Saturday, we may try a walk into Barnton to stock up again as stocks are going down. And then we'll see what happens next.
