In the evening we went down to the town and had supper in a Thai restaurant. This was a first for us as we have never been too sure how spicy the food might be. But everything was fine. We shared a chicken satay starter which was yummy followed by sweat and sour pork for Brigid and a mild lamb curry for me. Definitely a hit for both of us - we shall be trying Thai food again.

Off to Whitianga
Wednesday 9th. Didn't leave till 11.30am as we were chatting to Jacquie until then. After that a long drive up the coast passing through Tairua, stopping at The Long Table in Katikati for a lunch break.
We had intended a light lunch but on their menu they had eggs benedict on rosti. Wonderful! Sorry, no pictures, we eat it too fast.
This also was a Kiwi reserve. Then we drove on again to Whitianga to our next home for the night, another dairy farm.
With the caravan we had to share the facilities in the house. Not a problem really but an inconvenience in the middle of the night.
