Just thought I'd put up a picture of my AeroPress. I use this every day on the boat and it was given to me by Harvey and Helen, thank you very much. It's a single measure filter coffee system that saves a whole lot of mess with the used coffee grounds. I'm not going to try and explain how it works but it's a marvel. The measure on the side shows that you can make 4 measures of coffee but I find that 3 measures in a mug is just about right for me.
We went to Hillmorton church for morning worship and it was great. Modern worship songs, an introduction to the Rugby street pastors and an excellent sermon. After that we came back to the boat and moved it 100yds up to secure it to mooring rings set into the pilings along the canal. We'll be able to sleep securely tonight. We then walked down to the canalside café for lunch. Unfortunately it was packed to the gunnels and we were recommended to try The Bell in the middle of Hillmorton.
They were packed as well but said that we could sit outside in one of the huts, if we wanted to.
Quite cosy really.
Even had its own heating.
Lunch was good as well.
Chicken and leek pie for the captain.
Mixed fish platter for Smee.
Once again, back to the boat, but this time for a Sunday afternoon snooze. We are staying here overnight and will be watching the funeral tomorrow. Might need to run the generator to keep the batteries charged but that's a small price to pay at this time.
A very dramatic sky but that was all. No rain, no thunder, just a chilly wind to let us know that summer is almost over.
