Monday 19th - Queen's funeral

How do you describe a day like today? We stayed put above Hillmorton locks so that we could watch the Queen's funeral on iPlayer.

It was a very moving and sombre pageant and we felt moved to watch it through to the final transfer of the coffin at Wellington Arch. 

During the transfer of the coffin to Windsor we moved the boat down through the locks and moored again about mile further on, just in time to see the service in St George's chapel.

Again, we carried on watching after the service and were moved by the comments and thoughts of the people who watched the procession pass by. 

We are settled here for the night and will move on again tomorrow morning.
