Oh to be on the cut again

Well, it's been a day of sunshine, showers and HAIL!!! I ask you! HAIL!

Still, we brought some flowers from home and they make a cheerful display.

Don't worry, says the captain, we'll pop into Towcester and get some shopping for the weekend and, while we're out, have a bite of lunch.

First stop Tesco's for some boxes of wine and some food 🥑 to go with it. Then queue for 10 minutes just to get out onto the main road which was chocker block all the way into Towcester 🚗🚗🚗🚗🚗. Right turn instead and head across the road into Aldi for even more food 🦐.

Let's not bother about Towcester for lunch, says the captain, there's a garden centre on the way back and they've got a restaurant, we'll go there instead. Which we did, and a smashing lunch it was too. Jacket potatoes each 🥔 and loose leaf decaf tea and a cappuccino.

Softened up by lunch, I agreed that a look round might be a good idea.

Oh dear, I didn't realize that the garden centre had a clothes shop right in the middle. Just where you can't avoid it.

Ah well, the captain's happy and that's all that matters. 🥴

Look at what we got.

The one at the far end is a fold up Mac and the middle one a cardigan. She'll look good working the locks in that lot 😂🤣.
(We also got two doormats, one for the boat and one for home! Captain)

Settling in for the night, stove's alight and all is well.

It's still raining, we're still on the mooring, still too close to shops and garden centers for my liking. Oh to be out on the cut, not so many shops out there 😁🤠🤣
