Waiting...

Tuesday 3rd May.  

While waiting for the mattress people to let us know when delivery is to be made, we have been 

busy cleaning the exterior of the boat and polishing all the windows. Also we tried out the washing 

machine for the first time.  

Doesn’t it all sound exciting!  

Actually, with things such as the washing machine, it’s a good idea to try it all out whilst moored so 

that you can sort out anything that may go wrong. It’s amazing how many times you think you’ve got 

everything sorted but find that some important piece in the process is missing. Luckily for us, all 

went well today.  

We heard today that Leicester have won the cup. We should have found this out last night but for 

some reason we lost the TV signal at about 9:30, just as they were about to announce who was 

being sent home from Master Chef. Ah well, I’m sure we’ll find out next time!  

And the good news is … the mattress is coming tomorrow! … the mattress protector will be a few 

more days because of poor material from their suppliers but we are not going to wait around for 

that, it can be sent home and we will bring it up next time.  

Tonight we had to watch the last DVD in The Hobbit series, just so we could watch the extra bits 

about New Zealand! Brings back some lovely memories.
